Get ready for something new, something different and something fun…
it’s time to get sideways in the dirt!
Introduction:
The Dirt Track Racing School concept offers both racers and racing fans alike the chance to drive on dirt in three different types of racecars. Students will have the opportunity to drive an open-wheel Modified, a Late Model and a Sprint Car.
Each kind of racecar will offer students a different driving experience, and prices will vary across cars, offering value for money for different budgets. In addition to the driving experience, students and their guests will have the opportunity to take a high-speed ride around a dirt track in a two-seat Sprint Car piloted by an experienced Dirt Track Racing School instructor.
The Dirt Track Racing School operates at Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, NC. The racetrack is located just 25 minutes from downtown Charlotte and
45 minutes from Lowes Motor Speedway in Concord.
Modified
The Modified offers the chance to hit the dirt in one of the country’s most popular open-wheel racecars. This car utilizes a GM metric frame with 4-link suspension that helps the car grip the track and put the power down. This car is equipped with a three-speed manual transmission.
Late Model
The Late Model puts students behind the wheel of a powerful closed-wheel dirt racing machine. The Late Model has a fully-tubular, race-designed chassis that puts the car’s suspension to the test. The Late Model is available in a three-speed automatic racing transmission and in a three-speed manual transmission.
Sprint Car
The Sprint Car is the thoroughbred of dirt track racing. This unique racecar’s lightweight frame gives the Sprint Car an impressive power-to-weight ratio, while its massive top wing and huge right rear tire push the limits of what a dirt track can handle. The Sprint Car uses a direct drive system that reduces weight and prevents the loss of power through a transmission. The Sprint Car runs on alcohol and is a push-start racecar.
Two-Seat Sprint Car
The Two-Seat Sprint Car offers the chance to see what it’s like to ride on the edge. This unique racecar gives the passenger a chance to feel the power of a 406 cubic inch alcohol-injected engine that sits inside a lightweight yet strong chassis. The Two-Seat Sprint Car runs without a wing to provide a better ride along experience, and it is a push-start racecar.
