Bertil Roos Racing School
 As a pioneer in the industry, the Bertil Roos Racing School has been training students in the art of motor racing for over a quarter of a century. Graduates of the Bertil Roos school can be found at every level of racing, from the hobbyist up to the top levels of professional racing. All you need to bring is a positive attitude!
Founded by 1970's Swedish Formula 1 driver Bertil Roos, the Bertil Roos Racing School is one of only five schools to be awarded full licensing accreditation status for the Regional and National S.C.C.A. Competition licenses. Bertil Roos' staff of experienced racing instructors has developed a multitude of programs that challenge drivers at all experience levels.

About the Vehicles
 When you enroll in one of Bertil Roos' programs, you'll be strapped into a real 150 bhp Formula 2000 racecar. When properly driven, these cars will accelerate from 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds, reach 130mph in the draft, pull up to 2g's in the corners, and stop on a dime!
The reclining seat position, open cockpit, and Indy-style body work provide you with the unique experience and a clear view of exactly what the pros see when they are battling it out, head-to-head on TV. Wide tires and front and rear wings make sure your butt is firmly glued to your seat as you rocket around the track lap after lap.
Safety, of course, is Bertil Roos' highest priority. Roos' F2000 cars have been designed and engineered to be among the safest in the industry. The body panels are handcrafted and molded using highly flexible, yet infinitely strong carbon fiber. The body panels are form-fitted to a stiff chassis and welded steel roll cage to ensure our drivers experience the fastest, safest laps of their lives.
Be a better driver on the road
 Also available at Roos is the Hi-Performance Volvo program, focusing on better development of essential skills needed for everyday street driving. For some unknown reason, to issue a driver's license, states require drivers to know how to parallel park, adjust their mirrors, and put their belts on, but spend absolutely no time teaching drivers the dynamics of a car's handling , and what a driver should do in an emergency situation. This program starts where regular driver's education ends. This is the driver education program every driver should take, young and old! Spend 2 days experiencing extreme driving situations, the type you would only see when in an emergency on the road. Experience it first, in open safe conditions, learn what to do, and practice it continuosly throughout the program so you can have a beeter chance of avoiding an accident on the road, and/or of minimizing the effect of it in the end!

Rescheduling Policy
You may reschedule your program up to 15 days (two weeks) prior to arrival for a $50.00 rescheduling fee.

All programs at Pocono Raceway, and Virginia run rain or shine.
Age Requirements
Minimum age is 16, with a valid driver's license and the ability to drive a stick-shift. If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must sign a release waiver.
No Liability In Introductory Programs
Students are not liable for damage in our Half Day, Full Day, or 3-Day Racing programs. In the 2-Day Competition Course (or the 4th and 5th day of a 5 day school), The One Day Advanced Oval Course, Practice Days, and all practice sessions, damage liability is limited to a maximum of $2500.00 per incident. The Racing Series liability is explained in the Bertil Roos Racing Series Rule Book.

 This program starts off with an hour long classroom session, where you'll learn basic techniques of car control, flag signals, dynamics of the car, and breaking and acceleration points around the track. Your classroom session will be followed by a ride with an instructor around the track in a passenger vehicle, once again to show you the breaking and acceleration points and the proper "racing line" around the track. Next you'll be on your own for 30 laps in the Formula 2000 car.

 Different than the racing adventures offered by our organization, our race school's emphasis is on teaching and training you how to be a better, faster racecar driver.
In this course (prerequisite of 3-Day Road Racing School, or similar experience), emphasis is placed on passing, high-speed drafting, race starts, qualifying strategies and racing tactics. We are the only school in the world that uses on-board video to better facilitate and accelerate the educational process.
Day one starts with a brief classroom session, followed immediately by a track ride-around in one of our Volvo 40 series cars. Next you'll climb into one of our racecars and go wheel-to-wheel and nose-to-tail for four sessions with the instructors, as they show you the safest and most effective passing techniques. Other activities include drafting, practicing race starts, qualifying strategies and racing tactics, as well as analyzing the video segments captured throughout your lapping sessions.
Day two is structured like a race day. Practice, qualifying, practice starts and two 8-lap races will fill your day. Each track session is preceded by a classroom session explaining the techniques to use and the goals to shoot for in that respective session. It's like attending your first race, with instructors watching and helping you every step of the way.

This school is the cornerstone of our racing programs (no prior experience necessary). This course is crammed with intense training on how to drive a racecar at the limit. No rev-limits are ever imposed, passing is allowed from the moment you strap into the racecar, and there is no crash damage liability. The shool will provide you with the equipment and instruction required to progress safely at your own pace.
Different than the racing adventures offered by our organization, our racing school's emphasis is on teaching and training you how to be a better, faster racecar driver. Day one starts with a brief classroom session, followed immediately by a track session in one of our patented slide cars. Then, some trackside demonstrations by the instructors, followed by an additional classroom session and on-track practice with one of our Volvo 40 series cars.

 Practice and 2 races in the Formula 2000 Cars. You compete against other series drivers in identically prepared Formula 2000 racecars. The full schedule alternates races between Virginia International Raceway and six different track configurations at Pocono International Raceway.
