Introduction:
Silverstone Racing School
 Silverstone, a former wartime airfield, started its association with Motorsport in 1948 with is first Grand Prix. Then, racing took place on the perimeter road with straw bales and oil drums to mark out the corners. Since its humble beginning’s, Silverstone Circuit has become internationally renowned as the Home of British Motorsport and the permanent host of the prestigious Formula One British Grand Prix since 1987, and lately, home of the Silverstone Racing School.
 Set in over 800 acres of land, boasting five different circuit layouts, some of which can run simultaneously, plus numerous activity area’s Silverstone Circuit is ideally suited as a training academy for aspiring racing drivers. For this reason there has always been a racing school located at Silverstone Circuit since the 1950’s and with the kwoledge passed down through the years, in its current guise as Silverstone Racing School, is the centre of excellence for Motor Racing Training in the UK.
Silverstone Racing School offers a diverse range of courses, from short half day type driving experiences, to one of Europe’s most comprehensive five-day residential course, which culminates in an actual race at the end of the course. Silverstone Racing School also acts as organisers of the BRDC Single Seater Championship, which is now well established as the ideal apprenticeship programme of racing and testing, regardless of your ultimate goal in the sport.

Put your nerve and your wits to the test… …in our computer controlled skid car that simulates driving in adverse weather conditions. This means that you get to have all the fun without the real worry of slippery road surfaces and driving rain. As your speed increases, you'll learn how to cope with the steering whilst going sideways, and our slalom course gives you first hand knowledge of how ABS works. Skid Control! is a hugely enjoyable experience that teaches you valuable skills for driving in whatever Britain's unpredictable climate will throw at you.
