Accelerated learning curve in performance driving. Work up to racing speed with on-track and class instruction. Driving dynamics in steering, acceleration, braking and cornering. Focus on racing line.

Day 1B
Half Day Program ($225.00 ala carte)
Extensive racing line instruction with a one-on-one instructor/student lead and follow driving session, observation and timed session. Increase your speed with practice and expert guidance.

Jim Hall 125cc TAG (Touch-And-Go) Kart Programs:
Advanced students looking for additional challenge and aspiring racers wanting to prepare for competitive karting can step up to our TAG Kart courses. The program takes you from fundamentals to intensive competition training intended to ready you for racing. Must be at least 15 years old.

Tag Kart - Tag A & Tag B Price: $475.00

TAG A/B
Full Day Program

TAG A: Extensive TAG kart instruction in power-band/dry clutch engagement, 4-wheel braking techniques, detailed track walk, critiqued driving session and timed session. 3 on-track driving sessions.

TAG B: Braking and driving line refinement, inside/outside line exercises, passing, qualifying, rolling race starts and interclass competition. 3 on-track driving sessions.

TAG A and B are available separately ($225.00 each):
TAG A - (Must be Day 1 Sprint graduate with instructor approval)

Jim Hall Parent/Child Kart Programs:
Geared to first-time drivers aged 10-14* with a minimum height of 4'8"**, our Parent/Child classes offer the same instruction and track time as our Day 1A/B and Day 2 Sprint programs but with lower speeds and fewer students for more personalized instruction. Students will start by learning basic safety and kart familiarization, then progress toward more advanced skills like learning the racing line, complete kart control, braking techniques and ultimately race starts and passing. Parents are eligible to drive in these classes with their child for added confidence and to make the introduction to performance driving a family experience.

Parent/Child Day 1A & 1B Price: $395.00

Operator Terms & Conditions

Qualifications:
Our minimum age is 13 (10 for Parent/Child Days) and we've had students as old as 83, with an average age of 44 years. Our minimum age in the TAG karts is 15 (age 14 with instructor approval) with a height requirement of 5'3. Our minimum height requirement is 5 feet tall (4'8" for Parent/Child days). Our height maximum is 6'8 in both the Sprints and TAG karts. Our maximum weight is 270lbs (proportionate to height) in both the Sprints and TAG karts.

Insurance:
Insurance is included, must be signed for at the track on the day of your program.

If your kart goes "4 wheels off" the race track, a $20 (minimum) off-track fee will be assessed. Final charges will be based on the actual time required to return the kart to its condition prior to the incident at $45 per hour, plus the cost of any damaged parts.

Required Apparel:
Balaclava or 'Headsock' is required (may be purchased through us for $5). Long pants like jeans, comfortable shirt, jacket or sweatshirt. NO SHORTS AT ANY TIME. Lace-up tennis-type shoes and socks that cover ankles are mandatory track wear. NO HIKING BOOTS. Sunscreen recommended.

Scheduling:
Payment in full is required when reserving classes. All changes or cancellations are assessed a $25 service charge. Changes or cancellations of reserved class(es) require a minimum of 10 business days prior notice. Changes or cancellations made within 10 business days of scheduled class will result in 50% forfeiture of fees. Changing or canceling class within 2 business days of scheduled class, or failure to appear for class will result in 100% forfeiture of all fees.

IF YOU ARE LATE OR DO NOT SHOW, WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE, YOU WILL BE CONSIDERED ABSENT. 100% OF ALL CLASS FEES WILL BE FORFEITED. Late students cannot participate in class unless instructor permits.

Weather:
In the event of rain, a Jim Hall Kart Racing Instructor will contact you at 7:00am (for morning classes) or 10:00am (for afternoon classes) on the date of your class. A determination will be made at that time if the class is a "rain-out", or a "go", or to be put on "stand-by" status. Postponement of class is at the discretion of a Jim Hall Kart Racing School instructor only. In the event the class is canceled, your deposit will be transferred to another class date. Refunds are not available. If you do not hear from us, assume the class is a go.
