 SpeedTech Auto Racing School programs should be one of your top choices for a Nascar driving experience. The program is the brainchild of Randy Baker (Nascar Champ Buck Baker's son). He was chief instructor at his father's school for over 17 years, he also competed in Winston Cup, Busch Grand National, ARCA, SCCA, and for five years he managed the training for the North Carolina Highway Patrol High Performance Driver Training, and also managed the training for the U.S. Army Anti-Terrorism, Special Forces Unit.
 Randy Baker is responsible for the advanced driver training of drivers such as, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Jeff and Ward Burton, Joe Nemechek, Danny Sullivan, and Lyn St. James. He is now applying all his experience and knowledge to passing on the family tradition that has made each one of the Bakers great drivers. Randy uses all new equipment and programs feature NASCAR Nextel Cup Stock Cars, Busch, Craftsman Trucks and more, all under one roof!

SpeedTech offers several types of Racing Programs. These programs are designed for the beginner and increase in difficulty all the way to one-on-one advanced training for the average fan and serious driver.

Notes: The operator's various policies are explained below. Please make sure you read and understand them before you make your final purchase decision.
All program dates have been confirmed but are subject to change due to circumstances beyond the operator's control.
F.Y.I. Videos are NOT offered for the ride programs.
Qualifications:
All drivers must be 18 years of age or older, with a valid drivers license. Riders must be 10 years of age or older. Minimum height: 5 feet. Maximum height and weight: 6 foot 5 inches and 300 pounds.
Insurance:
Students have NO liability for any car damage during the course of their driving experience
Scheduling:
All programs must be pre paid in full at time of enrollment. Advance registration is mandatory for all riding and driving programs. You may reschedule a program date, up to 30 days prior to your program's start date subject to a 10% rescheduling fee. No refunds will be issued for any reason. Speedtech programs, like any other Nascar type driving program, operate under dry track conditions only.
Speedtech Racing School's Cancellation Policies:
There are no refunds once a date has been reserved. Please see Speedtech's policies below.
Reschedule and Substitutions Policy
If you need to reschedule, it must be done at least 30 days prior to your set program's date, and there is a 10% fee. If for some reason you can not attend on your reserved date, you may send a substitution at no additional charge.
Rain Policy
Unless Speedtech calls you in advance to cancel because the weather predictions are very bad, every participant MUST show up at the track even if its raining! Just like in real Nascar racing, there will be a wait to see if the track can be dried off once the rain subsides. Please do NOT assume a program will not happen if the weather looks grim. Show up, or you will be considered a "no show" and will forfeit your program's cost!! If the weather does not improve, participants at the track will be issued a credit so the can complete their driving or riding program at a later date.

The Qualifier program features 8 to 12 (depending on the track chosen) spine tingling solo laps for the thrill-seeker who has a need to drive and feel the power and excitement of NASCAR racing.

You begin in the classroom¸ where one of Speedtech's instructors will go over the basics of handling a 3400lb / 600 horsepower Nextel Cup Stockcar on the racetrack. Then you move trackside, to discuss safety equipment and procedures. Next, it's time to tour the track in a van with the instructor, where you will learn the proper line and techniques used by professionals to drive through the turns. Now you are "SOLO" behind the wheel of an authentic Nascar Nextel Cup stockcar. By now, you can't wait any longer to feel what the big boys do on Sunday afternoons. This is a drive you will never forget!

This program consists of classroom instruction, trackside training, and more laps behind the wheel. In this program you'll get "Geared Up", drive 30 laps "solo" and feel the roaring thunder of 600 horsepower!

This is similar to "Gearin Up", but with more seat time (50 laps)! Instructors observe your laps and give you feedback after every session, allowing you to steadily improve and increase your speeds. You'll learn the proper technique of "apexing" and negotiating the corners. If this doesn't "START YOU UP", we don't know what will!

As the course name suggests, this is one of Speedtech's more intense training programs, and it will crank-you-up with a total of 100 laps! As you improve your speed and consistency, you'll learn professional type passing maneuvers, and train one-on-one with SpeedTech's instructors on practicing these passing techniques. Make them eat your dust! This program really makes it hard to go back to your regular work on Monday...

This program involves running 1-on-1 with Randy, door handle to door handle and nose to tail, throughout the day.
