Two Way Radios

Their programs are designed so that the vehicle (Corvette or Radical) is your classroom. They have installed two way radios in each car which allows them to minimize the time spent out of the car, which translates to more seat time for YOU! This also provides you with instant on-track feed back, and in a sense have an instructor "with" you throughout the course... and a safer environment for all. The Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch is located at the entrance to beautiful Pahrump, Nevada - about 45 minutes north of the Las Vegas strip on Highway 160.

This track consists of various different configurations within one 2.2 mile road course and has a 37 foot minimum width throughout. The length of the upper road course is 1.5 miles and has elevation changes totaling approximately 50 feet. It consists of seven corners, one of which is an exact duplicate of the hairpin at Mosport (corners 5A and 5B), known as Moss corner.

All program dates have been confirmed but are subject to change due to circumstances beyond the operator's control.

Qualifications:

All drivers and ride along participants must be 18 years of age or older, with a valid drivers license.

Insurance:

A insurance premium is included in all prices. This premium limits your financial liability in the event of car damage to a maximum deductible of $8,000 for the Level 1 programs and $8000 for Level 2 Radical programs is $9,000.00.

Scheduling:

All programs must be pre paid in full at time of enrollment. Advance registration is mandatory for all riding and driving programs. You may reschedule a program date, up to 30 days prior to your program's start date with no penalty. No cancellations or rescheduling are allowed within 30 days of your program's start date. No refunds will be issued for any reason.

Level 1 - 3 Day Z06 Corvette School

Price: $2,995.00

We are delighted to offer our Level 1 Program which offers three days designed to show you what the Z06 and the NEW C6 Z51 Corvette is capable of, show you what YOU are capable of and we will even push you beyond your limits so that you know what your limits are!! You will find our programs both challenging and rewarding, guaranteed!

DAY ONE:

Braking - Lock 'em up! You want me to what?? Yes, lock up all four of those wheels! Get ready because this exercise is going to teach you skid control, car control, visual skills and accident avoidance! How? A unique comparison of ABS and conventional braking systems, some wet pavement and you behind the wheel! Skid control (THIS IS THE ONLY TIME YOU WON'T BE IN A CORVETTE!), for about 20 minutes on day one, you'll be in our skid car!

The frame on the car is engineered to reduce front or rear traction so you can cause and learn to control a skid; preparing you for cornering on the track. Heel and toe Downshifting- Have you done your blip today? Learn to maximize efficiency through corners by doing over 4,000 gear changes in our three day program! With proper seating position, an open mind, and an open track, you'll be driving smoother than ever!!

DAY TWO:

Get revved back up with a heel and toe downshifting warm up and lets get our on the track for some shadow- lapping! No, this doesn't mean you'll be following your grandmother! Our instructors are going to teach you how to find your apexes, how to balance the car through the corners, and how to drive smoothly and precisely. As we say at Spring Mountain, speed is the product of precision and balance!

DAY THREE:

Let's talk about time on the track, time on the track and more time on the track! We'll start the day off with a shifting warm up, a shadow lapping session and then you're on your own! Helmets on, are you ready??

One Day Performance Highlight Program

Level 2 - 2 Day Z06 Corvette School

Now that you've mastered the basics of Level One, join the rest of the graduates and put our cars to the test!

We conduct the program very informally because we want our drivers to have the freedom to pick our brains, and hone their skills. Activities include power circles in the dry (this is like the skid car exercise, but no skid frame, and you're in a Corvette). By using our Power Circle exercise you'll develop a higher level of balance, throttle modulation and the Visual Scanning techniques that are so important for high performance driving. These techniques will allow you to experience the limits of our Corvette Z06's & C6 Z51's for an unheard of amount to free lapping time on our 2.2 mile road course.
