Competitive Edge is an unique racing school, offering not only short entertainment style driving experiences in Nascar type cars, but also a private stockcar championship in their school cars for drivers who whish to enter real races without the expense of buying their own Nascar racecar. The Competitive Edge Racing School also offers at the start of every season the "Test of the Best", where amateur drivers such as yourself can compete for a chance to win a fully sponsored season racing in the Competitve Edge racing Series.

If you want to get started in racing, Competitive Edge is the place to start. Their "arrive & drive" Race Series allows you the opportunity to go racing in equally prepared NASCAR - style Late Model racecars, and experience wheel to wheel racing!! There is NO racecar to purchase, work on, or transport&#44 just bring your competitive spirit and go racing. Everything else is provided.

Jessica Cyr of Sechelt, BC, Canada, became their first ever female champion at only eighteen. Cyr started her dream of racing by completing the 2-day Competition Racing program in April and then took to the track for her first race the following weekend. She quickly proved that she was not just there to learn how to race. With 3 poles, 4 wins, and 6 second place finishes, she was there to win the championship.

Once you schedule a riding or driving program for a specific date you then immediately become subject to that particular school's terms and conditions - NO EXCEPTIONS.

This includes terms and policies relating to refund requests and rescheduling issues and includes any fees or penalties charged by the school.

Qualifications:

All drivers must have a valid drivers license. If under 18, driver needs parental approval. Drivers & riders must fit into the seat with safety belts fastened properly.

Insurance:

Students are not responsible for damage to the cars in Half-Day racing programs. In the 2 Day Competition and Racing Series Events, an insurance premium of $100 per day is required and limits liability for car damage to $1,500 per incident.

Scheduling:

No refunds, no exceptions! All programs must be paid in full at time of enrollment. Advance registration is mandatory for all programs. With the exception of Racing Series events, you may reschedule your program up to 30 days prior for a fee of $50.

Racing 101 - Half Day Program

Price: $299.00

This is the introductory program. If you have ever wanted to drive a real racecar, now you can! Feel the thrill of 435 horsepower under the hood as your hands coolly grip the steering wheel of a real NASCAR style racecar.

This program begins with a 1-1/2 hour classroom session teaching the basics of car control, balance, left-foot braking, and the racing lines. After the classroom it is on to the racetrack for 35 exhilarating laps behind the wheel of our race prepared Chevrolet V-8 Monte Carlo, Late Model stock cars.

Racing 202 - Half Day Program

Price: $399.00

Our Racing 202 program is similar to the Racing 101 school but offers you two on-track sessions allowing you more coaching and critique from our instructors.

This program begins with a bit more in depth, 2 hour classroom session teaching you the basics of car control, balance, left foot braking, and the difference between a racing line and a qualifying line showing you how you can start up front. While on the racetrack you will be behind the wheel of one of our race prepared Chevrolet V-8 Monte Carlo, Late Model stock cars for two 25 lap sessions.

A controlled passing lane is used in your second session allowing you to pass other cars on the track so that your speed and progress is not impeded.

Racing 303 - Full Day Program

Are you ready for more than just a thrill? Come take a Test Drive. This is our most popular program. After a 2 hour technical classroom you will strap in for 75 laps on the track coupled with coaching from our instructors.

Techniques such as trail braking, understeer & oversteer, as well as being smooth and maintaining balance. Learn the difference between the racing line and qualifying line around the track. With 75 laps spread out over three driving sessions, you will have ample seat time in our race prepared Chevrolet V-8 Monte Carlo Late Model stock cars. Coupled with the coaching from our instructors, between each one of the three on-track sessions, where our staff will critique your progression and assist you to make improvements.

Competitive Racing - 2 Day Program

Price: $899.00

If you are ready to go racing then the checkered flag awaits. Here you will spend two days learning the racing techniques to help you find the winner's circle. Day One is spent similar to our full day racing school with an extra emphasis on getting you up to speed. Day Two begins with another classroom session and a debriefing from the first days on-track activities. The classroom then focuses on braking, passing, qualifying, and green flag starts. In addition to extensive driving sessions, track time will also be spent in exercises such as learning the different aspects of recognizing, setting up, and completing the pass as well as how to get up to the front from the start by practicing green flag starts from different positions.
