The vision of company founder and off-road racer Todd Clement was to share the joy of high-performance off-road driving and the unspoiled beauty of the Baja peninsula that was previously accessible only for the adventurous lucky few. For 11 years we have been making that tapped freedom a remarkable reality.

Much more than a standard racing school or follow the leader tour, the Wide Open experience pushes the envelope of an adventure-based vacation. Our specially designed Baja Challenge cars provide our guests with the performance and safety of a modern desert racer, but are comfortable enough for anyone to drive.

Seasoned guides lead you through the entire journey while your vacation is planned to the final detail. Just show up with a pioneering spirit and a desire to experience the uncluttered vistas of this very special land. Whether choosing one of several excursion packages or an exclusive private tour, guests can world-class fishing. snorkeling, scuba diving, whale watching, kayaking in the Sea of Cortez, surfing at Todos Santos or beachfront golf. Our guests can explore the vast expanse of southern Baja’s wide open spaces from this world-class vacation destination. Pristine beaches. Beautiful desert vistas. Steep inland canyons. Quaint villages on the stunning blue Sea of Cortez. It’s all there for you, and all starting and finishing in a vibrant location legendary for the planet’s best deep-sea fishing, off-road driving and entertaining nightlife.

Qualifications:
All drivers must be 18 years of age or older, with a valid drivers license and must have manual/stick shift experience.

Insurance:
Included in all pricing is the catastrophic vehicle insurance which is as follows: ($295 / 4-DAY, $225 / 3-DAY, $95 / 1-DAY, $50 / ½ DAY)

Scheduling:
A 40% non-refundable deposit is due to hold your place in one of the classes, with the balance due at least 60 days prior to the experience date. e-schedule prior to 60 days out from the trip date with no charge, 30-60 days prior they can re-schedule with a 25% re-scheduling fee, within 30 days there is 35% re-scheduling fee.

All trips include:

A custom built Baja Challenge car, lodging, meals, a full staff which includes, a professional guide, chase crew w/mechanics, re-fueling truck w/spare car, orientation video, pick-up and drop-off at San Diego airport for Ensenada trip and “The Time of Your Life.”

Price is on a per-person basis, two person minimum. Drivers and Co-drivers alternate driving throughout the trip.

Equipment which includes a helmet, dust skirt, neck collar and kidney belt.
